When it comes to online storytelling, most publishers rely on standard conventions of presentation. However, the web offers wide-ranging possibilities for engaging audiences in story. This session gives attendees a fresh take on visual storytelling today, with guidance for how attendees can begin to explore new practices and methods.  How can we be more strategic in our approach to highly engaging storytelling? How can we user-test new ideas and measure meaningful engagement? What experiments are too big, or too small, and how do we determine a scope that's just right? This session encourages journalists of all levels and in all corners of the newsroom to embrace their inner critical thinker (you don't have to be creative at all) in the journey and process of story exploration.
